Dear RAGBRAI® visitors,

As Mayor of Jefferson, I want to tell you how excited I am to have all you bicyclists and others as overnight guests in Jefferson on Monday, July 21, 2008 as part of RAGBRAI® XXXVI. The 4,626 residents of Jefferson and I look forward to welcoming you. We have an awesome community, and think you’ll agree.

I welcome the opportunity to show all of you the unique and outstanding opportunities our community has to offer all who visit. We want you to experience all our “Bells & Whistles” while in Jefferson in July, and then we hope you’ll want to return for a visit in the future, or better yet, become a permanent Jefferson resident.

Personally, I want to say “Thank you!” to the RAGBRAI® officials for accepting our invitation to bring RAGBRAI® to Jefferson for an overnight stay in 2008.

We plan on showing you a great day and evening. Our RAGBRAI® committee is working hard to make sure everything you need and want will be ready for you – and when we say goodbye on Tuesday, we want you to be smiling with wonderful memories of your time in Jefferson.

See you on Monday, July 21st!

Craig Berry
Mayor of Jefferson, Iowa
