A RAGBRAI^® record was broken by the Jefferson committee when 31 members attended the RAGBRAI^® overnight host town meeting on Thursday, Mar. 13 in Des Moines. The previous record was held by Independence, a 2007 host community, with 26 attending a year ago. The day-long meeting was in preparation for the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa which will spend Monday, July 21 in Jefferson. The committees from all eight overnight host communities heard presentations from representatives of the 2007 host towns to gear up for the 2008 event.
